Pensacola State College

Pensacola State College is a public, comprehensive community college that was founded as Pensacola Junior College in 1948. Today, the college serves traditional and non-traditional students in Northwest Florida and Southern Alabama.

In the 1948 -1949 academic year, 136 students enrolled. By 2009-2010, enrollment swelled to about 28,000 students. More than 37 percent of graduating seniors from Escambia and Santa Rosa counties begin college life at Pensacola State College.

The college offers full-service campuses in Milton, Pensacola and Warrington, as well as corporate training at the Downtown Center. Pensacola State College broke ground in July 2010 for its $9.4 million South Santa Rosa Center. It is slated to open in spring 2012.
